Meet the team: Amanda

What initially sparked your interest in accounting, and how did you start your career?
Maths was my favourite subject at school and after speaking to the visiting careers advisor decided Accountancy was right up my street . My first and only interview was with a small practice and that is where I gained my experience and I could not imagine doing any other job.

What's the most common misconception about accountants?
That Accountants are introverts, It certainly isn’t the case here at Perk!

What do you find most rewarding about working in accounting?
Looking after a client's day to day bookkeeping enabling them the time they need to concentrate on their business and not having to do their bookkeeping in the evenings/weekends.

What area of Norwich/Norfolk do you enjoy the most?
The vibrance of the city centre and its historic buildings and the shops!

In your opinion, what sets Perk apart from others in the industry? 
We have the best team and we all love what we do and that I feel reflects in the way we look after our clients.

How do you unwind after a busy day at the office?
I spend time with my family and friends and cuddling Teddy the cat.
